Creation or Evolution?

Obviously no one can “demonstrate” creation ex  nihilo (creation from nothing).  That’s God’s prerogative and His alone.  But it can be demonstrated that this creation shows DESIGN.  And design points to a Designer.

Evolutionists try to get around that obvious evidence of the existence of God by  postulating an endless string of incredible coincidences.

  1. One chance in billions of billions that the Big Bang could have produced a universe expanding at just the right speed, with just the right values for gravity, magnetism, and the two or three other forces that govern how things work.
  2. One chance in tens of billions that our solar system could have formed with a sun of just the right size and quality of light, planets just accidently circling it in just the right kinds of orbits.  As someone put it, the “nagging” problem of how they got there still has scientists guessing.
  3. One chance in umteen billion that an earth with just the right chemical and physical composition — air and water, a magnetic field to protect it, etc. –could be one of the planets circling that sun.
  4. One chance in another huge number that we could have a moon which keeps the earth from wobbling from the strict 23.5 degrees inclination it must hold to the plane of its orbit. One chance in ??? that the moon could be at just the right distance from us to provide the tides and the gentle massaging of the land to keep earthquakes from being global disasters.
  5. One chance in 10^40,000 that a single bacterium could have accidently formed on that earth.  (That’s 10 followed by 40,000 zeros.)
  6. One chance in — you name it – that  multicellular life could have evolved.  There are no 4, 8, 16, 32 — celled creatures. The next step up the chain consists of thousands of cells.  So this had to happen all at once, if evolutionism is true!
  7. One chance in trillions upon trillions that an ecosystem could have formed, with up to 90 million interdependent species of living things all functioning together in a symbiotic dance of mind-boggling complexity.
  8. One chance in another googolplex (it’s a word; look it up) that man with a brain containing billions of cells and performing wonders, even to the denying of his Creator, could have “evolved” by accident.

And you say that we Christians are the naïve and foolish ones. The Bible says, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.'” No better illustration of that truth can be found than in those who profess to believe that this wonderful universe happened by accident.
